About the Troop

Troop 12 of Lutz

Troop 12 was established in 1933. The first in Lutz ("Rhymes with Bootz"), Troop 12 quickly made its name in the area.

Today, led by Scoutmaster Dan O'Dea, we continue this tradition by making an impact in the community. Through community events, ceremonies, and service projects, we work hard each year to better our Community, our Nation, and our World. In the end, we even better Ourselves.

We are a Boy-Run Troop. This means everything that we do is planned and executed by "The Boys". We couldn't do it, however, without the help of the wonderful adult leaders.

We meet every Tuesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, with campouts or day trips planned every month. Our Scout "Hut" is located off US Highway 41 near the junction with Lutz Lake Fern Road.

If you are interested in joining or helping out, please don't be afraid to use the "Contact Us" page. We'll get a response to you as soon as possible.

From all of the leaders, both Scout and Adult, we welcome you!
